- Thrix low ammonia color is infused with Argan oil and Keratin. Giving the hair condition and shine. It contains less than 1% of ammonia. It is also is a tone on tone color line.
- Remember high lift color and bleach is mixed 1 to 2. Example:
- 10 grams of color to 20 grams of developer.
- All other color is mixed 1 to 1 1/2. Example:
- 12 grams of color to 18 grams of developer. 12 grams * 1.5 = 18 grams
- To make 15 volume mix equal amounts of 10 volume and 20 volume. Example:
- 10 grams of 10 volume + 10 grams of 20 volume = 20 grams of 15 volume.
- To make 25 volume mix equal amounts of 20 volume and 30 volume. Example:
- 10 grams of 20 volume + 10 grams of 30 volume = 20 grams of 25 volume.
- Don’t be afraid to use the ash colors or the .01 series (5.01, 6.01, 7.01, 9.01). If the client has a red or ash tint to there hair add an .01 to make it a more natural color. Mix it on a 75% to 25%. Example:
- You’re client wants a 5 natural but has a red or golden tint. Mix 44 grams of 5 natural color and 2 grams of 5.01 with 67 grams of desired developer.
- Keep in mind that the Chocolate, Moka, Carmel, and Tobacco series is more on the Auburn side.
- Processing times are volume used plus 10 minutes. Example:
- 30 volume = 40 minutes OR 20 volume = 30 minutes.
- The Chocolate series is good to use if you’re needing to cut Red. Add an .01 OR Half & Half OR 3/4 to 1/4(depending how much Red you’re wanting to cut).
- The Savannah Natural series gets more of a red tone and adds more warmth than the natural colors. While the natural colors 4 through 10 cool tones have a green base.
- Color can be left on up to 55 minutes without damage.
